Argumentative Essay - Animal experiment

Today, I am going to write an argumentative essay about 'Animal experiment'. 

Do you think that animal experiment should be allow or not?

I think animal experiment should be allowed! 

I am sure that you will think that animal experiment is okay after reading this essay.

Then I will start my argumentative essay.

                                -Animal experiment should be allowed-

Animal experiments should be allowed.

We have to check 'Is the stuff or things that scientists invented are valuable and beneficial as medicine? Or 'Is there any adverse reactions from taking this medicine?'.

And for that, we have to experiment with cultured cells and tissues.

But, if we use this way for experiment, the accuracy is compromise. So, we can't get the good result. The best way is human experiment. Do you know the period when the medicine and medical science developed the most?

It is World War 2. Because, many people died and the human experiment happened officially and unofficially. However, nowadays human experiments are not allowed.

So, to test with animals is the most effective and realistic way to test these drugs.

First, there is no replacement of animals. If we prohibit the animal experiment, the plant experiment will be the main experiment. Then the field to develop the somatology and  medicine will decrease. So, until we find a living thing that can work like animals, we have to keep using animals for experiment.

Second, the animal experiment helps to make longer life for not only people but also animals. A lot of animals are exposed to diseases. And because of these diseases, thousands of animals could die suddenly. From animal experiment, we can check 'how does this medicine affect the body and is there any adverse reaction.' So, we can make people and animals recover by verified medicine. Thus, doing animal experiment is just preventing a great sacrifice by using small sacrifice.

Opponents of animal experimentation say animals' rights and dignity are not respected.

But I want to rebut this argument by 3R rule. 3R rule is the rule to be at least courtesy to the experiment animals.

The first R is reproduction. It means 'do experiment with the needful amount of the animals'. Let's think that we only have 5 mouses for experiment. But the scientists made a mistake and they need 7 mouses. Then they made unuseful sacrifice. So the first R is 'Do not make any unuseful sacrifice'. 

The second R is refinement. It means reduce the pain as much as we can. After the experiment, when we have to kill the animals because the bad bacteria or some thing like that, we have to anesthetize the animals to reduce the pain to the animals. 

The third R is replacement. In this case, replacement is different from the word replacement that I mentioned before. Replacement means devise a new way to experiment. Like if we use rabbit's eye, we have to use the eyes which is from a dead rabbit not an alive rabbit.

Second, even there is no side effect to animals, the people can have side effects. 

However this argument doesn't stand also. 

According to the law, you can't sell medicine if you didn't experiment with animals and test how does it affect. So, even the result could be different to animals and people, you have to test and experiment with animals.

All of the arguments of opposition side don't stand because of the rules and laws. 

However, my arguments stand because there are many examples and evidence.

Thus, animal experiment should be allowed and I am sure that you will also think 'animal experiment should be allowed'.
